The Apogee Award is distinguished from other awards that simply measure data points. Marketing communications achievement comes in a number of ways. To win an Apogee, keep the following in mind:
- Be clear and concise. Hyperbole will not impress the judges and may cloud your story.
- Match results to objectives. If objectives change during the campaign, indicate what those changes were and why they occurred.
- Explain how your strategy was derived. What was the central idea behind your efforts and how was it unique?
- Explain how your creative (or other effort) matched objectives and your client. How did it reach, or speak, to the target market?
- Be clear in how multi-media efforts connected to the central message and how target markets or sub-markets were impacted.
- Explain the effort’s return on investment; dollarize results if you can.
